AUGUST 15TH-21ST, My Neighbor Totoro

I re-watched My Neighbor Totoro this past week and I was taken aback by one particular scene: when the big Totoro comes and helps Satsuki and Mei grow their acorns into a massive tree overnight. The growth motion was what particularly struck me, it was like yoga. They were moving themselves into the sky with their legs and their arms, insisting on being more. And they became more. Through joy and belief, may we all become more.
